Today’s YJ wedding is about Jennifer & Tyler! Their love story began in 2012, when Jennifer went to visit her sister, Jessica, in college. Her sister was dating a baseball player, and they took Jennifer to a baseball house party for Halloween. Jennifer remembers, “We went to this party and Jessica and Casey (her boyfriend, now husband) told me to walk around the house and tell me which guy I thought was cute. I walked around the house and at the end I saw Tyler. I said, HIM!”

From then on, Jennifer and Tyler texted on and off, but they both got busy with cheerleading and baseball. For Easter, Tyler ended up spending it with Jennifer and her family and after that weekend, they never stopped texting.

7 years later in 2019, Tyler was called up to play for the Major Leagues. He had been holding onto the ring for a while, and with traveling all the time, he was eager to finally ask Jennifer to be his wife! He asked her after his 3rd day in the big leagues with all of their family and friends there. She thought they were going to a rooftop to celebrate Tyler. Next thing she knew, Tyler was giving a speech and talking about her a lot. Jennifer remembers, “I was squeezing him trying to be like okay this is awkward, talk about you! Next thing you know he’s down on one knee and now it all makes sense!”

Tyler and Jennifer would come to Arizona for spring training, so they knew they wanted to tie the knot there with all their loved ones. With almost all of their guests coming from other states, Arizona offered the perfect weather for their November wedding.

With their shared love of baseball, they wanted to incorporate the sport into their day. You can see the little ties of baseball in everything from their wedding program which resembles a MLB roster, to the baseball ticket place cards!

Jennifer also wanted to include her passion for cheerleading in their wedding. After they kissed and were announced as Mr. & Mrs. the guests waved pom poms. It was such a fun “grand exit” into cocktail hour!

Their wedding planner, Maddy, said, “I loved all of Jennifer’s ideas! I was so excited every time she came to me with a design she wanted to incorporate into the day. Jennifer and her family were so thoughtful, and they wanted to make sure everyone had a great time. There was so much love from both families the whole day. I’m so lucky to have been part of it!”
