After a morning of sipping mimosas, taking lots of photos, and finally saying ‘I Do!’, it’s time for dinner. But how do your guests know where to sit? That’s where a seating chart or escort display comes in handy.
The first way to seat guests is by a seating chart. This has all the guest’s names with their assigned table number to show them what table they are sitting at. Once they go to their table, there are place cards at each seat with their name and meal indicator. With this option you are picking your guests tables and their exact seats.

The second way to seat guests is by an escort card display. An escort card has the guest’s name, table number, and meal choice. They pick up the card from the display and bring it to their table with them. With this option, you are only picking table numbers, not exact seats for your guests.

YJ Wedding Tip: If you are doing a plated meal where guests have picked out their meal ahead of time, there must be some indicator on the escort card or place card so the servers know who ordered what meal. If you are doing a buffet, they do not need a meal indicator!
