Dreaming of an Italian getaway? Look no further, because this styled shoot designed by Shelby is bringing all the warm, coastal vibes! When it came to design, she wanted to emphasize the local colors of the Amalfi Coast in a clean, modern space. Events On Jackson provided the perfect lay out to bring a contemporary twist in an industrial space.

The courtyard in the center of the venue is surrounded by a full greenery wall which helped soften the space and bring those blue and orange hues to life. Wedding planner, Shelby, describes her design process as, “I didn’t want to do a typical orange or yellow linen and when I found this perfect blend I knew it was going to work beautifully with the light blues already in play. With the work of my amazing vendor team I really let their own personal creativity take shape with only a few outlines from me. Each and every vendor helped my vision board come to life and even elevated it in their own unique styles.”

Shelby wanted to work with two photographers with different styles so they could capture the shoot in their own unique ways. She knew Jonathan Allison Photography and Paige Lorin Photography were the perfect photographers for this. One gallery of photos feels romantic and moody, while the other feels crisp and modern.

During the shoot we ventured into Downtown Phoenix and got to play with some really creative spots. There are a couple of key features Shelby based her design off of. She says, “First was the blue chair. I fell in love with the pop of color and knew it had to make an appearance in the shoot. We positioned it in front of a silver wall and created our own city portrait area. The other element I knew that needed to be incorporated into the design was a burnt orange linen from La Tavola Linens.”

“Overall this style shoot pushed me out of my normal clean, modern style and encouraged me to take a look at a color palette overall rather than just a single pop of color. As a planner, I aim to adapt to each of my couples but also want to help them push the boundaries of their design to think outside the box to help create something truly unique.”
