When it comes to chic but fun weddings, few have done it better than Kara and Michael. The two met in dental school and we loved finding cute tie ins to their profession that also spoke to Karas fashionable style. They also included fun moments like cutting their cake with a sword, keeping a tradition alive from Michael’s parents wedding.
The colors of the wedding were a blend of deep burgundy with pops of blush. Perfect for a deep Fall wedding in Arizona. The ceremony included a lush ground arch to allow for the beautiful Camelback Mountain backdrop to shine
We had some fun in cocktail hour offering signature drinks at the “Numbing Station” like the “Molarita’, “Gingiva and Tonic” and the “Crownsmapolitan” that included a syringe filled with cranberry juice that guest could inject into their beverage. The couple also offer a mouthwash drink served from a pink dentist’s cup. The seating chart was a custom-built dentist’s sink with running water. Guests’ names and table numbers were etched onto toothbrushes and the color of the brush indicated their meal selection.
Dinner was set on the Mountain Shadows Overlook. Guests enjoyed their meal al fresco as well
Following dinner, guests were invited inside for dancing and encountered a custom phone booth that housed their guest book recorder. After a quick change for the bride, they were ready to slice into their cake with sword and dance the night away.
