From the very first meeting with Laurren and Chris, I knew the planning process was going to be extremely fun and smooth. Their main priorities when it came to the wedding weekend were exactly that, making the whole weekend a part of their wedding, not just their wedding day. With their guest all being from out of state, mainly the East Coast they knew they wanted a very Arizona wedding. Laurren and Chris got engaged up in Sedona at Cathedral Rock. They played with the idea of having their wedding in Sedona, but found that Scottsdale offered the best blend of Arizona feel with a fun nightlife. They landed at the Paseo, falling in love with the epic views of Superstition Mountain. Keeping with the desert vibe when talking through design, we wanted to pull the pink tones that often fill the desert sky at sunset, but also bring in more of the dried desert feel with pampas and dried palm leaves. Having a weekend focused on fun and partying was at the top of the list for Laurren and Chris. Their wedding night was nothing short of that. The dance floor was always packed, and the energy was ecstatic. Even at the end of the reception, they kept the party going and headed to Old Town Scottsdale, where multiple tables at Riot House Scottsdale were waiting for them! They danced and partied the night away till closing time, really raining in their marriage.

Laurren and Chris were one of those couples that quickly became more Friends than clients, as a planner, that’s always been my goal with my couples. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but when it feels more like chatting with friends and less pressure, you really can find the true aspects that make their love story so special and even make their wedding day even more sentimental.
