So if I am being honest, this was one of my favorite weddings to design. Not because of the styling, but because the grooms trusted me to bring their vision to life and let me run with some really fun ideas that stretched my creativity. These included having a giant brand made out of metal to resemble a ranch entrance for their arch, having a custom branding iron made, and then buying, staining, cutting and branding leather elements for their invitations, napkin rings, and serving boards used for appetizers. These cutting boards were then gifted to members of the family. Customizing a design and creating pieces that are truly one of a kind is my favorite. Alex and Charlie were so much fun to work with, so filled with love for each other and those that surrounded them on their wedding and so intentional about how they wanted create their space. Since they were getting married on April Fools day, we also used with the theme, “Fools in Love” which added to the playfulness of the day.

The custom pillows and metal brand may have found their place on display in their home, but the trust they had in my design vision will forever live in my heart.

Going through these photos 2 years later is such a wonderful reminder of why I love this job. Creating a spaces that truly tell a couples story, showcase their personality and make their loved ones feel at home is really what its all about. This wedding day was unequivocally Alex and Charlie and it was a southwestern love story I will never forget!
