Roaring Romance: A Gatsby-Inspired Wedding with Sentimental Ties

Looking back at Haley and Ryan’s wedding is such a joy. This was the second wedding we produced with Haley’s Family, and it’s always fun to work with families that you already know and adore. When designing, we really leaned into history- the story of their historic venue, the Arizona Biltmore, and its Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, but also, we were really inspired by Haley’s grandparents’ wedding. Their wedding was full of classic details and timeless styling.

On the incredible Gold room, we worked with Lux Florist to create grand florals that would help lead your eye up to the stunning gold leaf ceiling. We played with art deco linens and added some extra lighting. A tabletop filled with details, including mirrored elements, the Biltmore’s classic charger plates, cut crystal glassware and gold flatware. They even had custom monogrammed napkins made in both black and white with gold stitching. I love that they will use these linen napkins for years to come at special occasions and be reminded of their wedding day. During dinner guests were serenaded by a Michael Buble tribute band, watched the groom saber a bottle of champagne and enjoyed a delicious meal.

You know we love a dance party and Haley and Ryan’s was one for the books. We moved the party to the Aztec room, a unique space with incredible acoustics perfect for elevating the energy! In this space we used a pizel dance floor, lots of lounge furniture and of course dance lighting to bring the vibe. One of my favorite moments of the night is when they recreated the night club they met at with a bottle service style moment. It was so fun and really made the dance party memorable.
