Wedding Reception Reveal

One aspect of a wedding day which is very unique and special is a reception reveal. A reception reveal is when the couple sees the reception space fully decorated for the first time. This is a space they have been envisioning for months (sometimes even years!) and have put so much thought and time into designing. Table showings are wonderful because the couple gets a taste of what some of the tables will look like, but they have to wait until the wedding day to see all of the tables and design aspects together in the space.

We build this photo opportunity into their timeline toward end of cocktail hour. We recommend setting aside the last 15 minutes of cocktail hour for this. After the couple takes photos as newlyweds, and gets to mingle with their loved ones for a few minutes, we pull them away for the grand reception reveal! We love getting to see their raw, authentic reactions to the beautifully decorated space. As wedding planners, seeing this moment when they are in awe is such a rewarding feeling!
