Real Weddings: Judy + Don, The Perfect Reprise

We are so excited to share one of our February weddings on today’s blog because of how special this wedding was to us. The bride Judy was head Jubilette Meagan’s choir teacher in high school and is someone she has stayed in contact with over the years. When Meagan saw that she was engaged to her first love she was so excited that Judy reached out and wanted planning assistance from Your Jubilee!

Judy & Don’s February nuptials happened to fall on one of the few rainy days here in Phoenix, but with a little adjusting, some heaters, and umbrellas, the day came together beautifully at the Aviano Community Center in north Phoenix. Judy and Don are musicians, and music plays a big role in both of their lives. Due to this, they both wanted to incorporate as much music, and the talent of their friends and family, into their wedding day as they could. They had a string quartet play as guest arrived and as they walked down the aisle, family sing during the ceremony, and an old friend play the piano for guest during cocktail hour.

As guest entered the ballroom they were greeted by the Sonoran Serenade Swing Band that energized the room with their amazing music. Before the bridal party was announced the bride changed into her dancing dress so she could twist and twirl the night away with her new husband and guest.

The day was filled with so much love from past students, family, and friends. It was an honor to be a part of their special day and be embraced in this special couples love. This isn’t the coda for this beautiful couple, it is only the crescendo.
