If you could imagine a modern elegant meets desert wedding, Sarah & Ryan’s pretty much comes to mind! From the breathtaking mountain backdrop to an epic candle-lit dance party…you get the picture!

Sarah and Ryan met at NAU in college through Greek LIfe. Sarah was a Tri Delt and Ryan was a Kappa Sig. They dated for four and a half years before Ryan decided to propose to Sarah after happy hour at AZ88. He took Sarah for a walk in the Scottsdale Civic Center Plaza and got down on one knee in front of the LOVE sign.

After getting engaged, Sarah knew Your Jubilee would be perfect from being in the same sorority as Ashley one of the owners of YJ at NAU. She then began working with Elaine on the planning process. Sarah wanted a venue that had beautiful Arizona views and a perfect outdoor reception area with bistro lighting to share their special day with guests. Elaine immediately thought of the perfect place to share with them- one that was very special to her as it is where she had gotten married four years earlier. She took them to McDowell Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale, and they fell in love!

Sarah and Ryan wanted a ceremony that had beautiful mountain views, with a circle arch and rose petals- and that is exactly what they got! Their ceremony also had a special touch to honor Ryan’s late father.

A chair was placed in the front row with a special sign honoring his precenace. One of his dad’s personal hat was also placed on the chair, such a sentimental touch and a beautiful way to honor his father.

After the ceremony, guests headed up to cocktail hour where bistro lighting lit up their farm tables. Their color palette was full of neutral colors, which was the perfect accent to the beautiful desert sunset the night they got married. Guests dined under the bistro lighting and then headed inside for dancing.
