Let’s just start this out by saying, we are not the best at keeping up with the blog. However, we know you all want to see our real weddings so we are making an effort this summer to get caught up. So let’s kick things off with Sam and Jordan’s wedding. This wedding happened over a year ago and now these two have even welcomed a baby girl, but what we love about their wedding is that even though a year has passed their wedding looks both current and classic.
Sam came to lead planner Ashley with a vision in mind for her wedding. She valued intentional design and wanted to lean into a minimalist aesthetic but still make the spaces feel artful (as Jordan is an incredible artist) and personal. Both the bride and groom display a chic style in their personal fashion and the design of their home, so bringing that through in their wedding design was paramount.
After getting ready, it was important to them to not see each other before the wedding ceremony, so instead they did a first touch. They were able to talk to one another and hold hands without seeing one another and it was so sweet. And of course Sam did a first look with her best girls too!
You can’t really get a more beautiful backdrop than the view at The Sanctuary. You don’t need to do much to dress up the space. The view speaks for itself.
During cocktail hour, guests were treated to a French 75 and little French details on cocktail napkins and signage by Freja Creative and their custom seating chart by The Details Duo.
Beautiful light wood tables from Prim Rentals served as the head table and inspired the other wood elements throghout the day. We used low and high floral arrangements with organic styling to keep visual flow throughout the room.
Chic simple styling consinued with the cake desig, a popular style from A Bakeshop, as well as a delicious spread of treats. It was such a beautiful night for these two lovebird.
“Sam and Jordan were an absolute joy to work with- a dream couple. They definitely had a solid foundation of what they wanted and what their style was, but they also trusted me to shepard that vision, fill in the gaps, and turn it into something completely unique to them. It’s always fun to work with people that truly trust you to bring together an awesome team of people to produce an unforgettable night”, said planner Ashley about the planning experience.
