Ceremony: Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Reception: The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch
Kelsey and Alberto’s dreamy, Scottsdale wedding was certainly a day to remember. They tied the knot on February, 22nd, 2020 in a traditional ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and then celebrated afterward at The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch.
Kelsey and Alberto’s love story started at the University of New Mexico. After meeting, and hitting it off, they dated for a while before both moving to Arizona for their jobs. Kelsey is a registered dietitian for PCH and Alberto is on the sales staff for the Phoenix Suns. After 8 years, Alberto finally got on a knee and popped the question! He surprised Kelsey by taking her to the Princess Hotel during the holidays when it was decorated with lights and Christmas trees.
A week before their wedding, the forecast showed rain, so their wedding planner, Kayle, quickly adapted and changed their outdoor cocktail hour indoors! Kayle remembers, “Kelsey and Alberto were such a joy to work with! They didn’t let a little wedding day rain stop them from having their best day ever”.
On the day of their wedding, Kelsey and her bridesmaids got ready and snacked on some Chick-Fil-A before. Personally, we can’t think of a better meal to eat before you become a wife! Tradition is very important to the couple, which is why they had a Catholic mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The bridesmaids took a party bus to the church, while the groomsmen took a classic limo. Before heading to the church, Kelsey and her girls took photos with clear umbrellas which were so fun! They had the best attitudes about the rain and made sure to take some really striking photos. Her bridesmaids wore stunning black dresses which complemented Kelsey’s beautiful white wedding gown.
After their Catholic mass, all their guests headed over to The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch for cocktail hour and reception. Because of photos, some couples aren’t able to even attend their own cocktail hour, but Kelsey and Alberto made sure they were able to drink and socialize with their friends and family! Fosterson Music entertained their guests with lively tunes during the cocktail hour.
After cocktail hour, they headed into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. Their first dance was to “My Girl” by The Temptations which was so sweet! After eating and dancing the night away, Kelsey and Alberto cut a stunning 4 tiered wedding cake baked by the resort. It was a yummy vanilla cake with cookies n’ cream filling and covered with buttercream frosting. They saved the top of their cake to eat later.
Lead wedding planner Kayle gushed, “Kelsey and Alberto expressed so much joy & love their entire day & had a blast with their family and friends. It was an honor to be a part of their wedding day!”
We wish all the best to Kelsey and Alberto!
