We are so excited to share Haley & Ryans backyard boho wedding! Due to COVID, this wedding celebration was a long time coming and every piece came together beautifully. Haley was a very special bride and one that knew she wanted to be a YJ Bride before YJ was even a thing! Haley and YJ Co-Owner, Meagan, used to work together at Lululemon and as Meagan planned in-store and community events, she started talking about her own wedding and event company. Haley was one of her biggest cheerleaders, always telling Meagan that one day when it was her turn to get married she would 100% be a YJ Bride! Fast forward to almost 7 years later and that day finally happened!

Having to postpone their wedding was not ideal, but it gave us more time to design and add some beautiful custom elements like the dance floor light canopy that Centric Events & Rentals made to roll out over the dance floor during the hour flip (shout out to all the vendors who hustled hard to turn the ceremony space into a reception in only 60 minutes!).

The couple got married at a family friend’s gorgeous private estate in Paradise Valley and wanted it to feel luxurious but relaxed. We brought in wooden and acrylic elements to help accent the decor and landscaping of the home but also make it feel fun. Haley also wanted the floral to be beautiful but accent the natural desert landscape, so we played off of her free spirited boho vibe and LUX Wedding Florist brought in dried palms and pampas grass.

The bride and most of her bridesmaids were Suns dancers so music and the dance floor was top on their list, so of course we brought in the team at Desert House Productions and they did not disappoint! The bar and Instagrammable moments were also important throughout the wedding day so we had fun bringing in Little Finley, a tap truck, through Couple of Bartenders, and a champagne welcome drink wall through Bar Posey.

One of our favorite, jaw dropping moments was the classic Mustang that was brought in and adorned with florals. This was an epic photo opportunity for all guests to enjoy during the couples cocktail hour. The entire space was designed for relaxation with soft couches, chairs, pillows, and poufs through Dang Fine Rentals. There wasn’t a space on the property that didn’t feel comfortable, or like home.

Our post-pandemic couples’ weddings just feel different. We went through a lot together and navigated waters neither of us had ever thought we would have too. Seeing their wedding day come to life and feeling the love between the couple, guests and wedding party is such a special thing! Cheers to Haley & Ryan!
