Today’s real wedding features a breathtaking outdoor ceremony complete with beautiful florals and all the wonderful warm tones of Fall! Haley and Brad met on Bumble a few days after Haley’s birthday. They hit it off so well that Haley remembers calling her mom the next day and said she knew she was going to marry him!
Haley was right because 3 years later, Brad asked Haley’s dad for her hand in marriage. They planned a trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where they hiked around the scenic Jenny Lake. At the end of the trail they were hiking, Brad got down on a knee, reached into his vest pocket and pulled out an engagement ring! Haley was so surprised and couldn’t wait to start wedding planning.
Luckily, Haley knew the perfect person to contact about wedding planning – Meagan! They went to high school together and had stayed in touch after they graduated. Meagan was so excited to get the call from Haley that she was going to be a bride and a YJ one too! Meagan says, “I loved getting the chance to reconnect with an old high school friend- it’s like we picked up right where we left off!”
Haley grew up in Arizona and from the very beginning of planning, she wanted a whimsical, desert feel. This made Arizona the ultimate destination for their wedding. After touring venues, they decided on El Chorro in Paradise Valley for many reasons. Since Brad isn’t from Arizona, he wanted to incorporate lots of cactus into the day, and the surrounding Saguaros at El Chorro made this the perfect spot. Also, the Camelback Mountain backdrop in the ceremony space made the entire space have that desert feel from the ground all the way to the sky.
They also made sure to incorporate Brad’s love for Saguaro’s into their design. You can see this in their custom invitation suite and their wax seal!
Their color scheme consisted of whites and greens, which accented the lush greenery from the venue. Their color palette also included pops of muted oranges and pinks which complimented the fall season. The groomsmen wore olive branch boutineers which was a nod to the olive trees at El Chorro.
The officiant that married them was their family pastor and baptized all of Haley and her siblings.
Their planner, Meagan, reminisces “Bringing together Haley’s love for her home state and Brad’s love of Saguaros came together perfectly through their venue, florist, and sage green and gold accents throughout the day. Haley was a beautiful bride inside and out, watching their loves ones come together to celebrate them and how important each person meant to them on their wedding day was so special!”
