We just can’t get enough of the beautiful images by Aaron Kes Photography from Lisa and Raul’s November wedding at The Croft Downtown. This wedding was filled with thoughtful details and special moments and we can’t wait to share them with you. The day was filled with so much happiness and it definitely shines through in these images!
After getting ready at The Hotel Palomar with their bridesmaids, groomsmen and family, the bride and groom were taken to a rooftop to share an intimate first look. In addition to the view of each other for the first time on their wedding day, the views of downtown Phoenix were breathtaking.
The flowers really emulated the joy of the day. Bright pink peonies paired with green succulents with pops of orange and deep maroon.
The Croft’s Abby Room was aglow with light from crystal chandeliers and candles that lined the rooms wooden pews and walls. At the front of the alter a filigree gate was covered in hanging votives and succulents. The bridal party walked down the aisle to live acoustic music and the ceremony was in both english and spanish.
As guests left the ceremony they were invited to leave a note, advice or a joke for the couple inside a pinata for the couple to open on their first anniversary. Table assignments were written on bottles of hot sauce to help add some spice to their meals.
Inside the reception space, guests found their seats at a mix of wooden desconto tables and ivory covered rounds. Atop each table, various geometric shapes held succulents and cactus. Table numbers were made to resemble paper picado banners. Each guest was also treated to a mini drink bottle to help them hit the dance floor all night without spilling. The reception was filled with sweet moments, from the first dance, to the dances shared with mother and father, to the heart warming speeches, it was easy to see everyone in attendance was filled with love for the couple.
In lieu of a cake, the couple fed each other from a donut tower adorned with bright florals and topped with “amor”.
This wedding beautifully combined both mexican and american traditions to create quite a beautiful fiesta of love. We wish Lisa and Raul a marriage even more beautiful and filled with love, than their wedding day.
