Put on Your Dancing Shoes & Keep Them On: 10 Wedding Songs to Play on Your Special Day!

We know you want some of the hottest songs for your wedding while also switching it up a bit from the traditional song types. Your Jubilee complied a top 10 list of the best songs to play during your special day. Put your dancing shoes on and get ready for a jam-sesh! In no particular order:

1.) “All of Me” John Legend

True, it may be overplayed, but this song written for his wife on their wedding day is so romantic! Guest will love watching you dance with your loved one while snuggling up to theirs during this beautifully sung song.

2.) “XO” Beyonce

Beyonce’s surprise album has had some great songs to get down too but this song is a great one to get all of your guest off of their feet swaying back and forth on the dance floor. Mix this into “Crazy in Love” and you will be dancing all night long.

3.)  “Same Love” Macklemore 

Your wedding day is all about accepting love and showing off your love. What better way then this anthem of what life is all about- loving one another through all of the stereotypes and hatred in the world.

4.) “Mirrors” Justin Timberlake

This song is a beautiful sentiment on your wedding day. Standing with your partner reflecting each others love for one another in front of all of your family and friends.

So, your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life correct? What better song then Happy to get your guest up on their feet. This song is great selection for all ages and would even be a fun song to enter into your reception with.

“My whole heart, will be yours forever, this is a beautiful start to a life long love letter.” Such a beautiful song to share with your loved ones and guest during your wedding day. This can be a gorgeous processional song or even a first dance song.

Another upbeat song that says “I love you” in a different way. This song can be used as a recessional, reception entrance, or even a fun song to be played during the cake cutting. Your guest will be sure to be dancing and signing to this tune.

8.) “On Top of the World” Imagine Dragons

This is exactly how you and your groom will feel on your wedding day, so why not express it in a big way with this up beat song you want to clap your hand too? You can walk back down the aisle to this or enter your reception as the new “Mr. & Mrs.” to this as well.

We can’t make a top ten list without this classic song! This song is a win for any age and is a great song for your first dance as an expression of your love for each other in front of your guest.

10.) “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” Whitney Houston

No wedding reception would be complete without an epic 80’s song from Whitney…rip. This song is another one that is sure to get the guest from their seat to the dance floor and is appropriate for all ages! You and your honey will be dancing with “somebody who loves you” all night long!

When picking your wedding DJ or band be sure they know which songs you absolutely want played and which ones you do not want played at all.
