Episode 81: No Detail Left Undone with CeCe Todd of CeCe Designs
Today’s episode is with renowned floral designer, CeCe Todd. CeCe is the owner of CeCe Designs and she also owns a sister company that handles all things decor and rentals. You can see her work featured in InStyle Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Martha Stewart, Modern Luxury, Southern Bride and Magnolia Rouge. CeCe’s attention to detail and fabulous style has contributed to her becoming one of America’s leading floral designers and industry leaders. Her vast client list includes Kevin Hart, Ariana Grande, Journey, and so many more!
CeCe spent the whole first half of her life dreaming about becoming a country singer and ended up landing a recording contract. Then, she went through a divorce and realized that she didn’t want to sing anymore. She thought of other professions she could pursue and knew that she was crafty, so she started working for a flower shop. She says, “We’re all working side hustles for the main gig”.
She started CeCe Designs with her daughter in mind. She says, “When you have a child, everything changes. What legacy will I leave for her? What will I leave for her? I never want her to not have the necessities in life. I wanted to curate that legacy and foundation for her.” CeCe Designs specializes in luxury and high end weddings. It allows her to do everything that makes her happy. She gets her inspiration from a lot of different places, which allows her to stretch her whole mind and create things she has never created before. Her tagline is “no detail left undone” and she ensures that everything is absolutely perfect for her clients. Their sweet spot is 17 weddings a year.
CeCe was also a KnotPro Educator for 2020 and a speaker. Her passion for teaching the next generation of floral designers lead her to found CeCe School Online Membership group. She also hosts multiple hands-on workshops each year. Speaking and educating is a big deal to her. CeCe School is a monthly membership group with almost 400 people in it. She teaches live 4 times a month. She is creating a culture of like minded individuals to help their business.
