These days there are almost no “traditional” brides. Of course, there are so many traditions that brides and grooms love like the first dance BUT there are so many different unique ideas and twists that can replace the traditional ones. One of the major traditions at your wedding is having a guest book so you can look back and remember your wedding day and the people who shared the special day.
Don’t want the traditional guest book just that guests sign? Here are some different ideas so you can make your wedding a little more you!
Do you love being outdoors?
A blank wooden bench or lawn chair is a great idea for something you can always have displayed outside, read when you’re relaxing, and reminisce about your wedding.
There are always ways to make your guest book digital through a tablet or touch screen. You can print the pages or add them to your wedding website so you can always visit them without taking space in your home.
Using a globe as your guest book encourages guests to suggest places to travel to and can be a great piece to have in your home.
Love pictures?
Place a Polaroid camera next to a scrapbook and have guests take a quick picture of themselves with other friends and family members and write something of their choosing under them.
You can have a painting of a tree with empty branches and have your guests fingerprint the leaves, then sign the leaf when it dries.
Have a physical figure of a tree so that guests can hang “leaves” that give advice and sign their name The more guests who sign the more leaves that fill the tree!
- Wine bottles painted with chalkboard paint
- Engraving wood
- Wishing stones (see title image)
- A guitar, skateboard, or any object that plays a big part in your life

There are so many other awesome ideas! There is no wrong way to make a tradition unique! Make it your own!
