A Timeless Hawaiian Wedding with Oceanfront Views

Imagine celebrating amidst the gentle whispers of the ocean breeze, the sun setting in the distance, and the timeless elegance of black and white details framing your special day. This is the magic of Anna and Jake’s Hawaiian wedding, where tradition meets modern sophistication. This was a particularly special wedding for us as Anna has been a wedding planner and assistant on the YJ team since 2016. It was a day with lots of little custom details for the couple in a spectacular seaside setting.

After the couple got ready they headed to the church for a traditional catholic ceremony.

No Hawaiian wedding would be complete without a nod to the island’s culinary delights. Guests were treated to an array of classic Hawaiian appetizers, each dish thoughtfully curated to reflect Anna and Jake’s tastes and the rich flavors of the region. From poke bowls to coconut shrimp, the appetizers were a delightful fusion of tradition and modernity.

Monogrammed details like custom pillow cases and acrylic drink stirrers welcomed guests into cocktail hour along with Winston’s (their dog) Wet Bar.

This classic combination of black and white exudes sophistication and timelessness, allowing the natural beauty of Hawaii’s landscape to shine. Black and white details were thoughtfully integrated throughout the event, from the elegant invitations to the chic table settings. The contrast of these colors against the lush green surroundings and azure ocean created a stunning visual impact, setting the tone for a day of elegance and grace.

As the sun set and the traditional elements of the day were complete, the celebration continued with a night of dancing. Anna wowed guests with an epic second look—a chic jumpsuit. This modern twist on traditional bridal attire allowed Anna to dance the night away with ease and style.

It is such an honor and privilege to be a part of any couples wedding day, but when it is one of the women our team has known for years, it makes the day even more special.
