Bree and Brandon’s wedding was the epitome of an Arizona Boho wedding, from the color palette to the stunning landscape of their wedding.
Bree and Brandon had a lot of unique ties to their weddings. 13 played a very important role, they had been dating for 13 years when deciding to get married so this started a trend for the day. Not only did they get married on Friday the 13th at superstition mountain but they both had 13 people in their wedding parties!
Overall Bree always wanted a very boho desert wedding. Utilizing the beautiful landscape the Paseo has to offer she got exactly that. We pulled in warm tones of terracotta and oranges with subtle pops of light pink and champagne. No detail was spared from pre-ceremony to dancing!
Family was very important to Bree and Brandon, they both had loved ones who had passed away and could not be with them on the day. They did a few things to honor those members. They had a table in their welcome space with framed photos as well as a designated seat for those that could not be with them on their special day. Bree and Brandon both also carried with them special pieces for their loved ones. Bree had two charms wrapped around her Bouquet and Brandon had a charm hanging on his inside suit pocket. These added such sentimental parts to their day and allowed them to have family close to their hearts on their big day.
They did a little something different when it came to flower girls and ring bearers. Instead of your typical cute kids walking down the aisle, Bree and Brandon as two of their friends to be their “Flower Bros” and they did not disappoint. They both put on quite the show strutting down the aisle passing out drinks and “Icing” one of the guests. Their Planner Shelby notes “This is still one of the most unique and generating starts to a ceremony I’ve seen. It was perfect for Bree and Brandon as they didn’t want anything to feel to and wanted to stay true to their fun and outgoing personalities.”
Bree and Brandon opted for a more nontraditional unity ceremony. Instead of doing a typical candle lighting or sand pouring, they decided to do a unity shot. Bree and Brandon mentioned to me how much fun they liked to have and how nontraditional they wanted to be so this was right up their alley. They ended the ceremony in traditional Jewish fashion by breaking the glass. As I said no detail was spared and this came down to even the bag the glass was in which read “SMASHED it!” with their wedding date.
This was such a unique touch to add!
Bree and Brandon’s reception space has quickly become one of our favorite Boho designs. The beautiful mix of the wood tones from the paseos structures and the warm orange and terracotta details at each guest table offer the perfect blend of desert and boho. She wanted to have a mix of long and round guest tables which allows us to have two variations of designs.
In place of a menu, each place setting had a card outlining Bree and Brandon’s love story. Touched into the napkins was a small gold cactus bottle opener with a thank you tag. This personal touch drove home the desert vibe while acting as the guest wedding favor!
We are big on getting the most out of the elements we create during the wedding day and love finding ways to repurpose the ceremony design into the reception design to truly make the day feel as cohesive as possible. For B&B’s sweetheart table, we repurposed the ceremony arch floral arrangements on the table and re-attached one piece to the well next to their neon sign. We then utilized the aisle arrangements on either side of the table. Bree really wanted a romantic candle to feel in her reception, the blend of the gold geometric candle holders and the glass added the perfect hint of glam to the design.
The overall design complemented Paseo’s stunning venue perfectly.
This dinner view is a hard one to beat!
